Hi. My name is Heather and I have flat hair.
(insert sobbing here)
I have typical white girl straight hair. I can't complain - my hair treats me pretty well even though I'm mean to it all the time. No, I take that back, I AM going to complain. HOWDAREYOU, hair! You're so flat and boring! YOU'RE RUINING MY LIFE.
My hair is needy, too... it INSISTS on being washed every day.
Things have changed around here, as I have found an answer to the battle of this deflated fluff of fringe. I have briefly mentioned Suave Dry Shampoo before, but it really is a great product. So great that I decided to contact Suave to see if they would let me do a proper review and sure enough they were awesome enough to let me!
To be fair, I let my hair go a full 24 hours to get it a little greasy. Not too greasy... that's gross and I didn't want to embarrass myself that much... plus I have a thing against scalp smell. Gag.
Here I am in all my slop-haired glory:
You can tell how excited I am about this part of the review.
I find the best way to use the dry shampoo is to pretend your dying your roots - I make parts in my hair and spray, part again and spray, etc. You will get an even application and you don't have to spray much.
Sidenote... it smells real nice.
If there are any powdery looking areas just work them in with your fingers or brush it out. Results should look like this:
Fluffier, cleaner, and better smelling. I don't feel like a hobo anymore in the hair department, but I gotta do something about this face.
Now here's the bonus of using dry shampoo - it gives you great volume. My hair is horrible to tease.. it just doesn't like it. The only way I can get any height is to make it into a dirty bird's nest. Not with dry shampoo, though... once I have applied the stuff it's oh-so easy to poof it out a bit with your fingers or a brush. For demonstration purposes I went with the brush for maximum hair altitude.. and BAM!
In addition to smelling great and doing the job well, Suave Dry Shampoo is also an amazing price, selling for under $3! AND sometimes you can even find a coupon for it!
The only problem I could find with the product is that it seems to go fast (perhaps I just use it too often? ha), but hopefully they will sell so much of this line that they make a bigger bottle option!
Now here's the surprise: Suave sent me two extra bottles to give away to our readers!
