Influenster: Mom Vox Box

Yay! My first Influenster Vox Box is here!!!!!

Before I dive in, let me tell you a little bit about Influenster and their Vox Boxes. You can go here to read an overview but basically it is a sample and survey site that issues themed boxes (Spring, Summer, Mom, etc.) To start, you need to register. "Registered members "play the game" by unlocking badges that reflect their lifestyle, expertise and power to influence. By earning badges that tell us more about you, Influensters can increase their chances of being selected to receive a themed VoxBox (complimentary packages of products to test & review), rewards (bonus giveaways/discounts) and other special promotions targeted toward our most influential members!"

The time has finally come for my first Vox Box and review! From what I can see on blogs and in forums, people are constantly complaining that they never get a Vox Box and they have allegedly been members forever, so imagine my surprise when I got one after only being a member since March of this year! I have done all the surveys I could and unlocked all badges that pertain to me and when the "Mom Vox Box" came up I crossed my fingers and checked my Influenster profile to see if I was chosen for the box and viola I was!

It took a while to get here but I'm not complaining because it is full of free and awesome stuff to use and review "just for moms"! So what's in it? Inside I found an Ivory Bar of soap, a mini pack of DenTek Comfort Cleaners and Fun Flossers, a Stash Tea Sampler and Nektar Sweetner to go with it, a Quaker Soft Baked Cookie, an imPRESS Press on Manicure By Broadway Nails, and an Original Dish Drying Mat! All of these things I have heard of or seen before but the DenTek Items I have tried and purchased before.

Ivory Soap: Good old Ivory Soap. I didn't even know they made Ivory Soap anymore. It's not my favorite bar soap but it's close. It makes me feel nice and literally squeaky clean. It's a bit too drying for my face but as a body soap it's nice and the scent reminds me of my childhood.
4/5 stars!

DenTek Comfort Cleaners and DenTek Flossers: I love these things. Love Love Love! It's not that my teeth are hobolicious, rather the opposite, teeth are gleamin'. These are good to keep in your purse, backpack, car or desk for those moments you need a quick floss after a meal or before a date or meeting!

Stash Superfruits Tea Sampler: Super yummy, good fun fruity flavors that are fun to mix and good for hot or cold tea. Ive tried a lot of teas and they are slightly on the sweeter side so use minimal sweeting orhoney if you want.  Ive had this brand before but not the superfruit. They are quirky and awesome and the few Ive had taste really good. I also like that you can prepare them in hot tea which is super yummy but only a sometimes thing for me or Iced Tea which is an all the time thing for me!

5/5 stars
Nektar Sweetner: Used in the above tea. I like it but don't love it as honey isn't my favorite but it worked well in this tea, probably wouldn't buy it.

4/5 stars
Quaker Soft Baked Cookie: This was delicious and I ate it all up right quick! Although it was yummy, it had two obvious drawbacks for me, 1) each cookie has 170 calories 2) one cookie just isn't enough LOL.

imPRESS Press on Manicure: Okay, first off the color Stilleto that they sent me was fugly. I've seen worse, but I would never ever do my nails that color. It was this ugly swampy brown color. I looked on their website and they do actually have some cute ones, so the entire line isn't ugly thank God.

Now that I got that off my chest, for what they are, press on nails have come a long way. I really didn't have any trouble finding the ones in the set that fit my nails and they look much better on then I remember. They also came with extras to ensure you have enough and that you have all the sizes you need.

However, these were in my "Mom Box" so obviously these were aimed at moms and they wanted honest opinions. My honest opinion is NO, don't buy them, they suck! A few of them kept popping off throughout the day while I was typing at work, but the last straw was when I was loading a stroller in the trunk and THREE came off in like ten seconds.

3/5 stars

Original Dish Drying Mat: I think my husband was more excited about this than I was. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was cool but he pulled it out of the box and literally yelled in my face "This is just what we need!!!!" Whoa. It was intense to say the least. But he is right. For whatever reason we have a plethora of cups that never ever fit in the dish rack when we are doing dishes by hand. We always lay out kitchen towels and put the cups on there but now we don't have to! It's really absorbent but manages to dry really fast! It washes well in the washer on gentle too, just throw it in on gentle and hang dry if possible!

  2. @ Stephanie-only certain people received the drying mat; I didn't receive one either. LOVE Influenster. The Mom box was ok but I'm looking forward to the Summer Voxbox!
