Target Clearance Time!

So we don't often post about specific sales in blog form, but I seriously can't help it this time. I went to Target last night and had every intention of running in and out in ten minutes top (don't we all?) But it didn't go down like that. I left the house before 8 PM and got home a little after 10 PM, it was like I got sucked into an alternate universe and lost track of time. It's not like I have never lost track of time in a Target before, but this was like Twilight Zone episode of Target shopping; full of crazy prices, insane managers, and absurd customers (myself not included obv.)
I walked in to Target with my game face on and made a beeline for the wine section, no I am not a fan of fetal alcohol  syndrome, it was for a friend (that sounds believable right?) Directly after the wine, I went to the children's section to look for a present for party this weekend. That's where I made my fatal error. It is impossible to go to the toddler section without cutting through the baby section first and the Baby Clearance as well. There was SO MUCH CLEARANCE. It began with the Fisher Price Snugabunny Collection  which is on "Clearance" right now. The Rock N Play Sleeper and Bouncer are now $45.48 each instead of the normal in store price of $65 (30% off). They have a matching swing on clearance as well but for some reason I didn't get a picture but it is originally around $150 and on sale for $105 (also 30% off).

Since this stuff was on sale, and I was already basically IN kids clothing, off I went...that was my second mistake. There were at least 6 rounders, front and back full of clearance that was at least 30% off. There is a ton of Mini Harajuku on clearance. The ones below are regular price online but 50%-75% off in store! There is so much more marked down but I have to stop here, but seriously if you have kids GO RIGHT NOW.

My next stop logically was toys. I found a Momma & Zooblings Zoobles playset $22.49 (online price) only $7.49 in store, as well as Little People Batgirl & Wonder Woman Duo $6.99 clearance for $2.49, and Crayola 3D Chalk Set $9.99 clearance for $2.49.

After the toys, I stumbled haphazardly around the store in savings induced stupor raiding all the clearance endcaps. There was clearance in every.single.department. My most random find of the night was a toss up between the Jack LaLanne juicer $109.99 in store ($99 online) on clearance for $54.98 and the
Remington Shine Therapy Conditioning Straightener $49.99, clearance for $24.99 !

This is not where my story ends, but this is where I will stop writing. Seriously though,  Target has everything marked down right now: food, cosmetics, pet supplies, bags & bows, clothing, homed ecor, candles, gardening items, accessories, games, movies, etc. I shopped so hard that I broke a sweat. So go forth my Whore(der)s and break a sweat.

Target Easter Basket Fillers

Whether you are religious or simply a lover of candy, or perhaps a mixture of both like myself, Easter is just around the corner. Growing up, my parents always hid mine and my siblings baskets all around the house and we had to hunt for them on Easter morning. It is one of my favorite memories. I remember Easter always being lazy and full of delicious candy.

Now that I have my own child, I want to make her Easter mornings just as fun and memorable. It doesn't help that I have competition from the sweet (on the verge of creepy) old man who lives down the street who puts together a kiddie corner in our neighborhood with treasures, candy, hair clips etc. He even goes so far as to make "Easter Bunny footprints" with flour... Needless to say, I am on the hunt for awesome fillers for her Easter basket this year, simply to out-do him...oh and because I love her too!

Check out my list below of some awesome deals going on Target, but don't forget to also stop in at your local 99 cent store and/or Dollar Tree! Now, back to the Target deals...

Last Minute Target Post !!!

Greenwich Diva shows us that even The First Lady shops at Target!

I'm momentarily breaking out of the Mad Men theme we have going on this week in the name of Savings! I planned out a "little" Target trip for after work today. By "little", I mean hopefully under $100. I didn't have really high hopes because I'm a sucker for a coupon on things I don't need, simply because there is a coupon for it. Coupons are the reason for and the bane of my existence. Anyhow, I digress...Back to the Target trip.

Rarely do i get so excited that I run home and tell you guys that you need to go out NOW and buy all this useful but not needed junk that I just bought, but today is one of those days.

BABY:
Aquaphor Baby 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner $5. 35
On Sale for $4.92
Final Price $2.92 each !

Diaper Dash at Target

Because I always want to avoid the situation above, I am always stocked up on diapers. I am constantly on the lookout for a good diaper deal (for my toddler, not me of course). There happens to be an amazeballs deal going on at Target right now for Huggies. Rarely do I get so excited about a deal that I rush home to blog about it. Okay, that's not true, but still, this is a REALLY GOOD deal! I know my fellow Whore(der)s may roll their eyes once they figure out that I'm blogging about diapers, YES, DIAPERS, but I'm so excited and I just can't hide it (much like Jesse Spano).

Huggies boxes typically retail for $19.79 each. Target has a deal going right now if you buy 3 boxes, you get a $10 Gift Card. On top of this gift card deal, there is a printable $10 Gift Card coupon when you make a $50 purchase, PLUS a $5 Gift Card when you spend $25 on Kimberly Clark products found in the 10/30 SS insert. I used all of these offers in addition to my THREE $2/1 manufacturer coupons and THREE $2/1 printable Target coupons.

After Gift Cards (& tax), I only spent a grand total of $24.43! Its like Buy One Get TWO FREE!!!!! Also, an $8 off $80 purchase coupon should print out at checkout. Because you can print the Facebook coupon TWICE, you will have one left to use in conjunction with the $8 off $80 on a future purchase!

The Policy Police

When shopping, you should always have a printed copy of the store coupon policy with you. Here are the printable policies for TargetVON'SRalph's, and Albertsons. CVS does not have a coupon policy online, you must request it from them or you can go here to get the gist (I’ve always wanted to type that word) of their policy.
Here is a quick rundown on each store. Target, I live there. No, I really do. I go so often, I’m surprised they don’t charge me rent (even if they did, I would have a coupon for that too.) Target is awesome because they usually accept printed coupons no problem, AND you can stack coupons (See Vanessa’s amazing article). Target offers the most store coupons which makes couponing there a breeze; a hot, sexy breeze full of amazing deals...

VON'S also accepts printed coupons and allows stacking (but they offer a very limited amount of store coupons for this opportunity.) The one bonus that VON'S offers is "doubling coupons" up to $1.00. So basically, one coupon per item can be “doubled” or have its value increased to $1.00. Coupons that are $1.00 or more will be redeemed at face value. Ralph’s and VON'S coupon policies are almost identical. I like this fact, because then it makes it easier for me to go to the market, and I all I have to do is compare the prices at each store on the item's I need. Ralph’s is where I go for meat, because meat is “Le Expensive” (very expensive in fancy speak) everywhere else.
